Gaw Van Male understands the special needs involved with caring for our aging family members.  Elder Law, a distinctly qualified area of law since 1988, is defined less by the problem and more by the person experiencing the problem.  In Napa and Solano Counties, GVM’s Dave Gaw is the only Certified Elder Law Attorney accredited by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

Commonly, estate planning will emphasize incapacity arrangements, and long-term care planning will emphasize use of public benefits, when necessary and appropriate.  Other important considerations include health care, insurance, age discrimination, directives and powers of attorney, protective proceedings including conservatorships and guardianships, alternatives to probate, and Medi-Cal requirements.
