Lori
could serve as firm historian, having joined it when it was still
Gaw Van Male & Smith in 1985. While working full
time as a legal secretary, Lori completed college and law
school, first becoming a law clerk and now an attorney
concentrating on estate planning and business transactions.
Lori was born in Sasebo, Japan. Her
mother is Japanese and her father a retired Navy chief
and native Calistogan. Growing up in a military family,
Lori traveled between Japan, California, and Hawaii until
she was 16, when her father retired from the Navy after
serving 28 years. Her family then settled in Napa,
where Lori attended and graduated from Vintage High School
in 1983.
