With more than ten years of winery experience in marketing, sales, and general winery operations, Hilary is well suited to represent clients in winery and vineyard business matters, including vineyard and winery sale and lease transactions, grape purchase and sale agreements, custom crush agreements, alternating proprietor agreements, wine storage agreements, choice of entity for wine businesses, wine business local, state and federal compliance, land use entitlements, environmental due diligence, and alcohol beverage compliance.

Hilary is fluent in French, and has traveled extensively throughout Western and Eastern Europe.  She has worked in fine arts and antiques acquisitions and sales, and in the entertainment industry in television and feature film.  She brings these experiences to advise both foreign and domestic, wine, food and commercial product, import and export negociants.  Hilary is a member of the Business Practice Group and the Wine Industry Group.  Hilary’s concentration is in Real Estate, Land Use, Permitting and Licensing, and Wine Industry State and Federal compliance.

An avid sports and outdoors enthusiast, Hilary enjoys golf, tennis, swimming, as well as running, cycling, and hiking in and around the greater north bay area.  Fine arts play a prominent role in her life as an amateur painter and collector of art and antiques.  She also enjoys working in her English style garden situated along a creek in western Napa.

Growing up with family owned and operated vineyards in the Stag’s Leap District offered her a practical, hands on winegrowing experience, as well as the opportunity to take part in producing small family lots of Cabernet Sauvignon.  Her husband, an amateur gourmet chef and wine enthusiast, shares Hilary’s interest in fine wine and cuisine.
