Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs)

SVAs include asset identification and an analysis of threats, vulnerabilities and risks of identified assets to loss. This assessment provides clients with an excellent tool to determine safety, security and vulnerability of employees, customers, tenants and property. Investment in a Front-End Analysis sends a strong message about a client's commitment to a safe and secure environment. In today's litigious world, the ability of a client to demonstrate a proactive approach is essential to reducing exposure to liability.

Aanko Technologies can help by teaming with your members to conduct a cost-effective system security vulnerability assessment (SVA). We use performance-based criteria, integrating the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), the America Chemical Council (ACC) Responsible Care Security Code®, the Fertilizer Institute Security Code, the American Petroleum Institute's Security Vulnerability Assessment Methodology for the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries, and the Sandia Labs Methodologies into our process. Our team is certified in several Risk Assessment Methodologies, and has extensive experience, with over 24 years of conducting vulnerability assessments.

We examine client critical assets and then design prevention and protection systems for cost-effective planning activities. We evaluate the vulnerability of your assets to terrorist attack or other malicious acts and plan enhanced security where appropriate. The key events and consequences of interest Aanko undertakes include:

  • Asset loss from intentional damage to cause public or environmental impacts
  • Asset theft or misuse with intent to cause severe harm at the facility or offsite
  • Contamination or spoilage of site products to cause worker or public harm on or offsite
  • Degradation of assets, or infrastructure, or business function, or value of the facility

The questions we answer in a SVA include, but are not limited to:

  • What specific security threats does the entire business enterprise or a given site face that might lead to catastrophic events, such as a release of chemicals to the community or theft of critical business data with an intent to destroy the company?
  • What vulnerabilities in the security systems could be exploited to undertake an attack?
  • How significant could the effects of the incident become?
  • Are the existing countermeasures sufficient? What countermeasures are appropriate?

Don't let your business be overwhelmed by security breaches. Contact Aanko Technologies today.
