Risk Management Plans

Aanko Technologies has worked with industry to develop the risk management strategies and actions relevant to particular industries to comply with EPA, OSHA and Cal/OSHA safety and security measures under the Clean Air Act (CalARP).
The Risk Management Program Rule (RMP Rule Section 112(r)) of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 require facilities of all sizes using or storing chemicals that are explosive, ignitable, corrosive or otherwise of concern in specified large quantities to develop a Risk Management Program, which includes:

  • Hazard assessment detailing potential effects of accidental releases; a five-year accident history; and evaluation of worst-case and alternative accidental releases;
  • Prevention program including safety precautions and maintenance, monitoring, and employee training measures; and;
  • An emergency response program that identifies emergency health care, employee training measures and procedures for informing the public and response agencies (e.g. the fire department) should an accident occur.

We realize that each RMP is specific to the individual business and each of our RMP strategies is customized to your unique situation. That is why unlike many others, our RMPs are developed in coordination with site staff to set strategies that businesses can actually implement to reduce risk.

If your organization deals with high risk materials and you have not already been contacted about a Risk Management Plan, or are in need of a required RMP compliance audit or update, contact Aanko Technologies today.
